Accommodation
Hotels in Bhutan come in three flavors: Category “A,” Category “B,” and Category “C.” You’ll be put up in either an “A” or “B” category hotel when you're in the main cities, but once you’re off the beaten path, expect to sleep under the stars in cozy tented camps. All rooms are based on twin-sharing, so if you're traveling solo and want a room to yourself, an extra charge applies.
Meals
You’ll be fed well, full board with three meals a day throughout your trip. Most hotels whip up a decent variety of dishes, and non-vegetarian meals like pork, chicken, beef, and fish are easy to find almost everywhere. Best bet for getting a good meal? Just ask the hotel staff what’s fresh that day, and they’ll sort you out.
Best Season
Your best shot for this trip is either in spring (March to June) or autumn (September to November). During these times, the skies are crystal clear, and the views are something out of a postcard.
Luggage/Backpack
You'll need to lug your own small daypack with essentials like a water bottle, tissues, camera, and other knick-knacks. The rest of your stuff? Feel free to leave it locked up in the hotel’s safe deposit box—there’s no charge, so you don’t need to worry about carrying unnecessary weight on your trek.
Guide
We’ve got you covered with well-trained, experienced guides who know the lay of the land. If your group is bigger than 10 people, no worries. We’ll assign extra guides and split you into manageable groups so everything runs smoothly.
Personal Expenses
You’ll need to cover your personal expenses, including snacks, booze, and extra meals. While accommodation and meals are bundled into your package, things like alcohol, tips, entrance fees, or even a hot shower (only in some places) are on you. Tipping your guide and porter isn’t mandatory, but if they’ve done a great job, a tip is always appreciated.
Itinerary and Possible Changes
Our standard itinerary has all the essentials covered, including arrival and departure days. If you want to tweak it, maybe extend your stay or add extra activities, just give us a heads-up before booking, and we’ll rearrange things accordingly. We’ve even built some buffer days into the plan because, well, Himalayan weather is a bit unpredictable, and flight delays are part of the adventure.
Booking and Payment
To confirm your trip, we ask for a 20% deposit upfront. This locks in your spot. Along with that, send us a copy of your passport and your flight schedule. If you cancel, the 20% is non-refundable (hey, planning takes work!). The remaining 80% can either be paid when you arrive in Kathmandu or in advance through a bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal. Just tell us how you'd like to handle the payment, and we’ll send you all the details.
