It is an entrance for upper Mustang trekking, you will also get a chance to visit 500 years ancient sakya monastery in kagbeni then will persist walk to jomsom 2770m through Kaligandaki river bank. After reaching jomsom we will drive down to tatopani (hotspring) where you can take a rest and relish the hot spring. The next trek starts up to Ghorepani, Ghorepani is home of Gurungs – one of the indigenous caste peoples in Nepal. Chomrong, Dovan, Deurali we will reach Annapurna Base camp. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,338 m/4,390 ft.
Upon your Arrival to Kathmandu tribhuvan international airport and finishing all your formalities and outside the airport our Redrose Travel representative will be holding a Redrose Travel signboard or any other related to Redrose Travel and then you will be greet by our team ,after that you will be taken to your respective hotel in our private vehicle. In the hotel you can freshen up or either take rest or wander around the thamel area where you can buy your stuff for the trekking.


Day 02: Kathmandu (1,338 m/4,390 ft.): Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
After finishing our breakfast we will be visiting some of the Kathmandu area like Pashupatinath one of the Hindu pilgrimage where lots of Hindu devotees from India visit this place every year, the other spot will be Swambhunath which is also known as monkey temple. The other destination will be boudhanath stupa which is one of the biggest stupa in south Asia where lots of visitors visit this place. After that we will be introducing your trekking guide and your trekking leader so you can get to know each other well during your trekking section and also have a small meeting for your trekking destinations. You are advised to pack all your stuff for your trekking which will begin from tomorrow. Including meal is also provided breakfast.


Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Beshishahar to Syange (1100/3600 ft)
We will be moving early morning from Kathmandu this morning for BesiSahar which will be attractive journey to trek the road ahead. After breakfast we then travel to Pokhara. Heading to pokhara by a drive will be daring and enjoyable as it winds down hugging the mountain over terraced fields. Subsequent the side of Mahesh River we reach to the Trishuli River. We then follow Trisuli River sideways all the approach up to Mugling where Trisuli River junction with the Marshyangdi River. Day 04: Trek starts Syange to Dharapani (1,860m/6100 ft.)
Early morning we will be heading to Chamje after the breakfast after that we will be crossing a suspension bridge and hike over oak forest. We will perceive an intense change in the landscape today as the valley narrows to a very deep valley with cascading waterfalls as the one here crossways the valley are a common view in the feature for the next few days. The track then arises into a near valley where ‘Tal’, which is next to the village, situated at the foot of an outstanding waterfall (1700m). Day 05: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m/8890 ft.)
It is a very gentle climb from Dharapani to Bagarchap, here we will be pleased by sight of Annapurna II (7937m) viewing up the valley. For instance we continue over Danakyue and ascent up to Temang where you can halt and relish the sight of Manaslu range. The track is some extend level from here for about an hour until subsequently arising out into a clear area of tea houses and fields. We then descend to cross a bridge and ascending out we pass over Thanchok Community surrounding with apple orchards. Day 06: Chame to Pisang (3,300m/10824ft)
In the early morning we will be trekking over rich forest of blue pine and fir alongside the river to Brathang. The old Brathang community used to be a Tibetan resident camp fighting Chinese occupation of Tibet by making raids over the border with only an apple orchard with a couple of tea houses are observed.. Continuously we   carry on hiking over the forest, the trail attach on a cliff side for a while and as we then cross the bridge, viewing back the outlook of the massive rock face of Mui Tscho (Paunde Danda) is magnificent rising about 1500m from the valley of base. Subsequently ascending steeply over the forest, there is an unexpected change in the scenery as we enter the Upper Manang District. The valley becomes very wide and vegetation mostly pines, Juniper and berberis shrubs are observed. A lovely and stress-free hiking in the shadows of Annapurna II lead to Lower Pisang. Day 07: Pisang to Manang (3,540m/11611 ft.)
Today, we will be continuing our trek over the arid upper part of the Manang region, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Annapurna Range. Main occupations of the people living in this region are mostly dependent on herding the yaks and raise crops for a rest of the year. Exiting Pisang, we have alternative tracks form the north and the south of the Marsyangdi River which meets up again at Mungji. The southern way by Hongde, 3,325m by a flight, includes fewer climbing than the northern route thru Ghyaru and Ngawal communities. For better sights we take the northern way, i.e. over upper Pisang that follows the northern bank of the river. We then come thru a very scenic village clinging on to a cliff side where the houses seem to be piled on top of both others. Its Bragha village controlled by the oldest monastery of the area which is more than 500 years old upon reaching Manang, The rest of the day can be spent walking everywhere around the community and visiting the monastery and relishing the outlook from the lodge and adapting this village.. Day 08: Acclimatization Day at Manang Village
At manang we will be spending a day and we will suggests you to take a walk to adjust to acclimatization so, you can easily adapt the altitude for our next hiking section The whole day we spend doing some fine day walks and observing the splendid sights round the village. The forthcoming following two days will be very difficult and strenuous trek for us with speedy gain in altitude during this trek one should never ignored the altitude because it may be danger so, you must take your steps cautiously by consuming plenty of water and so on. As well will be also visiting gompa and Gangapurna Lake. At Manang village there is Himalayan Rescue Association volunteer by western doctor’s work here so, during the trekking they give some information about the altitude sickness to the trekkers so, one must attend this small briefing section which will be more helpful during your trek Walking Time will be around 3-4 hrs. Day 09: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft)
Enduring on from Manang we then cross a tributary and then the track climbs up by approximately 500m to Yak Kharka. We make the climb gradually through Tenki village. We descend heading to northward up the Jarsang Valley to cross the river then hike up to Yak Kharka. Herds of yaks and vegetation seem to thin out. Subsequently, we feel some symptoms of altitude sickness so, one must be cautious by drinking plenty of water hiking calmly by enjoying all the views in every step. Walking Time will be 4-5 hrs. Day 10: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m/15,092ft)
Today will be a calm climb so; you will be relishing the mountain views as we climb to Throng Phedi. After almost one hour into the walk we will be arriving to cross the bridge at Ledar, and from here we can view the Chulu Mountain, herds of Himalayan blue sheep grazing in the slopes and we might also perceive herds of yaks too. The path climbs progressively through Ledar and then descents down to cross the Jarsang Khola. After a steep climb and cross of a scree slope. We then arrive at a small busy settlement named Thorong Phedi, providing food with much other stuff for exhausted trekkers and climbers. There will be an adapting squat walk in the afternoon up to the track to the high camp; following to one of the golden instructions of altitude “climbs high and sleep low.” Sometimes depending upon the weather, season we may walk up to Thorung high camp to make the next day easier. Day 11: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800/12,467ft) via Thorung La pass (5416m/17764ft)
Today is a long hike starting at dawn at 4 am to reach the pass by 9-10am else weather conditions (strong winds) will considerably affect the voyage, mainly at the Thorung La Pass (5,416m). We then climb steeply on a consistent route which is somewhat tranquil to follow. Though, certain difficulties might arise due to the altitude and snow. It frequently causes awful difficulties to cross the pass if it is covered by heavy snow. Around four hours climbing up to the pass noticeable by the chortens and prayer flags will make your trek magnificent views from the top of the pass. Day 12: Muktinath to Marpha (2660m/8250ft)
We will be hiking from Muktinath temple early in the morning after the breakfast and easy trek down to Eklai Bhatti. The track descends very rapidly to the valley floor. The descent is over an intense, arid landscape all the way to Eklai Bhatti. Trek forwards to Jomsom and further to Marpha village, a foremost community on the Kaligandaki trading way. We will be crossing the downstream in the afternoon kaligandaki where you will be observing different mountains and sandy path and stopover Marpha village with Monastery, Apple Brandy factory where you get to visit. Day 13: Marpha to Kalopani (2530m/7848ft)
The routes leave the community and pass over to some bhattis (local tea shop) on the flat track sideways the Kali Gandaki River with pleasant view of the Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri Mountain. Subsequently crossing the Tukuche village you will be able to perceive one of the well-known Dhaulagiri Ice-fall, and then our hike continues over the Largung and Kobang village on the flat path all the approach to Kalopani. Day 14: Kalopani to Tatopani (1190m3690ft)
After delightful sight of Mt. Annapurna I from Kalopani, after having our breakfast we will trek slowly downhill to Dana, at Dana we will be having our lunch. Right next to Kalopani you will perceive one of the deep valleys of the world. After lunch we will be hiking another 2 hrs. Walks to Tatopani, where you get the magnificent view of Mt. Nilgiri. At tatopani you can relish the Hot spring for a while. Walking Time will be 3-4 hrs. Accommodation: Local lodge. Including meal is also provided.


Day 15: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2780m9480ft)
Hiking in Nepal is alike typically uphill and downhill walk in mountain, thus today you have to climb nearly 1600m in a day to Gorepani. On the way, you will pass over the villages of many indigenous groups in each short distance with diverse life style and their tradition. The foremost villages on the way are Ghara, Shikha, Phalate and Chitre. You will be observing different view of Mt Dhaulagri, Mt Nilgiri and Mt Annapurna. Stay Walking Time: 6-7hrs. Day 16: Hiking -Poonhill (3210m/10531ft), trek to Tadopani (2,630m/8,626ft)
we will be waking up early in the morning to view the sunrise to the poonhill which will be our best picturesque sunrise above the mountains.it is 45 minute climb to reach poon hill. Himalayan sight from Poon Hill is extreme when the rising sun’s rays progressively strikes the Himalayan giants plus Dhaulagiri range, Annapurna South, Tukuche, Manaslu, Fishtail, and so many others peaks are seen. We will be spending some time at Poonhill and return to Ghorepani, we will be having breakfast, and continue our trek to Tadapani over rhododendron forest, it hosts more than 15 sort of rhododendron and if you are hiking in springtime the flourishing colorful rhododendrons will mesmerize you. On the trail you will be also seeing animals like langoors .After one hour’s steep hike we come to a hill top, the place named Deurali. We perceive very amusing sight from Deurali. We then ascent down through bamboo forests from Deurali and have our lunch at Banthanti and again carry on through rhododendron forest. We will be climbing around thirty minutes before reaching Tadapani. From here we have abundant sights of Annapurna South (7219m), Huinchuli and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail 6993m). Day 17: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft)
Consequently the trail starts descending off from Tadapani moving down for around 4 kilometer at a loss of 2700 ft. (823m). It goes through huge and stunning Rhododendron trees. We will be reaching a river called (Kyumnu Khola) and cross the suspension bridge over it. From here you don’t get to buy water because it is not available but boiling water or hot water is available in tea houses. The track opens ascending up to Gurjung Community with terraced fields. We have our lunch of the day at Gurjug community. A few further miles of uphill and downhill trek passing waterfall and suspension bridge we reach our destination for today, Chhomrong which is an attractive community positioned on the circuit of the Annapurna range. The Fish Tail Mountain appears elegant from the beautiful Chhomrong Village. Walking Time will be: 5-6 hrs. Accommodation: Local Lodge. Included Meal is also provided.


Day 18: Chhomrong to Dovan (2600m/6190ft)
Currently we follow Modi Khola valley Leaving Chhomrong we descend 150m on a rock stairway and cross Chhomrong Khola on a suspension bridge. Formerly we will be ascending out of the side valley over the small settlement of Tilche through the forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak. We then climb further on a rocky track to Sinuwa. At that point we will be ascenting for about an hour over rhododendron forest up to a small waterfall. On the trail we will be spotting languor monkey. Subsequently a small wave, after wards we will be descending through extended and steep stone staircase to Bamboo with varied vegetation of Bamboo and rhododendron.

Day 19: Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft)
Subsequently an hour and half first gentle and then steep rise, we then reach Himalaya Hotel. Frequently, we see imaginary views of Machhapuchare and the vale ahead lengthways the trial today.  After that it’s a steep climb up over bamboo thick forests formerly reaching Hinku Cave. Day 20: Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft)
Today is a squat day of around two to three hours to Annapurna Base Camp. The flora vanishes on our way to Annapurna Base Camp and the track ascents progressively up to the gorge amid the moraine ridge of Annapurna Glacier and Hiunchuli Peak with an unbelievable outlook of Annapurna South and Baraha Shikhar ahead and Machhapucchhre looking back. At Annapurna Base Camp, we are enclosed by Himalayan massifs. Day 21: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7576ft)
We wake up early to relish sunrise over the Himalayas. The peaks are lit golden in color by the sunlight rays. Take your plenty of time to get the magnificence picture. Afterward finishing our breakfast, we review our steps back to Bamboo. Today’s hike is downhill so it shouldn’t be very problematic though you must be cautious in every step you take. Enjoy playing with the crystal clear heavy glacier water pounding over huge boulders. Rapidly after, we are back in the forest, starting with arid forest and then moist forest near Bamboo. It’s a long climb down, nearly 2000 meters; nevertheless we make it in 6-7 hours including short breaks for tea and lunch. Walking Time will be: 6-7 hrs. Accommodation: Local Lodge. Day 22: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1780m/5840ft)
We carry on our detour from Bamboo through the trail that took us days to go up. In this way, towards Chhomrong, the trail first climbs sharply along rock steps or irregular rocks with infrequent units of a gentler incline. At the top you can see Chhomrong straight across the valley. The trail then drops down more endless stairs to the Chhomrong River below. Once across the river the trail heads up an alternative route through rice fields before meeting up with the main trail, a stone stairway that climbs to Chhomrong. The last walk of the day is another steep decent to Jhinudanda. If the sunlight helps you, you can take good photographs of the dramatic gorge views and terraced fields. After a short rest you might take 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to a popular hot spring to get an opportunity to bath and soothe your tired muscles. Walking Time will be: 5-6 hrs. Day 23: jhinu Danda to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara
The trail is downhill until the stream and the trail climbs back up to the terraced fields before leveling off a bit and continuing to follow the river down through the jungle. We reach Sauli Bazzar and you will enjoy the straight leveled walk today until Nayapul. We enjoy the beautifully terraced fields among the villages throughout the day today. Upon reaching Nayapul we board vehicle to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara you can take shower, rest and relax in your hotel or roam around Phew Lakeside. Walking Time: 6-7 hr. Day 24: Drive back to Kathmandu
We drive back to Kathmandu today. Try to get left pane of your vehicle to enjoy the greeneries, mountains, river gorges, villages and terraces during the drive. In the evening, you will be given farewell dinner by GHHT members in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances. Driving time will be: 6 hrs. Accommodation: City Hotel. Day 25: Depart Kathmandu-Airport drop
Finally your trek to Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Sanctuary Trek accomplishes today. Our airport representative will drop you at the international airport in Kathmandu for your departure flight from Nepal. We feel that your journey to Annapurna circuit with Annapurna Sanctuary had given you the magnificent Himalayan sceneries, with unique cultural experiences. Including breakfast is also provided.

Essential Info

Hotel and Lodge:

Redrose Travel arranges the best comfy and pleasant accommodation and provides you the well-nourished hygienic foods. Throughout your stay in Kathmandu i.e. 3 nights you will be staying at the best standard hotel which will be rating at 2- 3-star hotel. Although if you want to stay at 4- 5-star hotel in the well sumptuous hotel and are able to pay for this expenses then you have this kind of choices but for the luxurious hotel the payment should be deposited by the clients itself. As the Redrose Travel company can only afford the hotel which is the rate at 2-3 star hotels. However once you are set for your trek there will be no such facilities like in the city of Kathmandu and one should not expect like Kathmandu as we are trekking to the remote area so, we will be staying at tea houses and local lodges. In such hotel there will be a usual bed and of course pillow. Most of the lodges of this region depend on lanterns or candle only a few has the facility of electric lights nonetheless you will be getting clean hygienic food which is most important. Most of the lodges will be already booked earlier before your trek however in some situation we will be not able to book in advance but not to worry we can book -in while reaching there because there are ample of lodges and some tea houses in this region and if not we can easily set a camp which will the most adventurous part of the trek itself is interesting and adventurous.

Meals and Drinks:

We the company totally focuses on client’s meals by making sure that each and every client get the same portion which is clean hygienic and nourished which is most necessary while trekking. While trekking all the meals i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided but in the Kathmandu city sometimes breakfast and sometimes dinner are included where you can go through the each detail itinerary below. During trek breakfast and dinner will be served in the lodges or teahouses and for the lunch our expert trek leader or guide will be taking you the best clean hotels. However we suggest you carry a water purification tablets to purify the water as on the way you will get normal water but if you want bottled mineral water you will easily get in some shops or tea houses but the expense of the bottled water should be paid by the client itself as it is not included in package.

Best Season to Travel:

The flawless seasons for Nepal visit will be in the spring season in the month of March to May and autumn season on September and November. Even in winter one can travel but only if you can bear the cold weather season. We strongly recommended the clients not to trek on the monsoon season on the month of June, July and August because during this period it rains heavenly and in day afternoon the sun rays will be extremely blazing heat so, it will be difficult to trek. So, we suggest every client trek in the specific seasons.

Luggage/Backpack:

Throughout your trekking your luggage will be carried by our porters and you have to carry your own small baggage containing your own water bottle, towel, tissue or toilet paper, camera or any other stuff which you usually carry and this small baggage should be carried by yourself. Some of the gears and clothes which are not needed during your trek can be left in the hotel safe deposit box carefully locking it properly and for the deposit there will be no charges so, you can freely keep your belongings which are not needed. The Nepal domestic airlines do not exceed more than 15 kg which also includes your hand baggage. If your baggage exceeds more than 15 kg then some charge should be deposit which is not included in the package.  

Guide/Porter on Trek:

We the company Redrose Travel will be providing you the well expert trained trekking guide who will be handling all your trip issue. Also we will be providing you a cordial and sincere porter who will be carrying your 10 kg luggage of each client. Like if you are trekking in a huge group like more than 10 people than we will be providing you an extra guide which will be divided into two groups or more than three according to the number of people in the group. 

Group Size, Guide and Crew Member:

Redrose Travel arranges trek with the minimum solitary client to maximum 16 clients in a group. In the larger group we will be arranged by dividing the groups. However one can stay in the same lodge but during your trek you will be having a different guide. We the Redrose Travel offers one guide for maximum 10 people in the group and if the number exceeds more than 10 till 16 then we will be providing you 2 guides. 

Personal Expenses on Trek:

Your personal expenses should be deposited by yourself like if you addicted to alcohol and all the alcohol you consume during your trip should be paid by yourself that goes to snacks or any other additional meals. Though the cost of accommodation and meals are included in package but such additional meals and drinks- alcohol and non-alcohol beverage, snacks, tips for guide and porters, hot shower- accessible only in some hotel, entrance fee around $ 25 for visiting heritage sites of Kathmandu, meals while you are in Kathmandu and the normal meals will cost around $ 5-7. It is up to you whether you like to give tips to the guide and porter, if you are satisfied with their services then you can tip them.

Gears Available in Kathmandu:

For the trekking equipment you can easily get it at Nepal country stores at the reasonable price and if you like you can also rent the trekking equipment. You don’t have to carry or buy from your hometown because all the trekking gear can be easily available in this country –Nepal.  

A Typical Day on Trek:

On a customary day you are necessary to trek for 4-6 hours each day. After breakfast we will start to walk and then we will be stopping for a lunch and after lunch we will walk for 3-4 hours to reach our destination. After lunch we will be trekking only for few hours and we will reach our trekking destination in 1—2 hours. Like in some days you will reach your destination in afternoon hours and then you can have lunch and then relax, or take shower, read a novel or wander around the area and even you can play cards with the group, guide and all.

We suggest you that when you are confirmed for this trip we advise you to give us your international flight schedule so, we the team can easily get to you and pick you up from the airport on time. As soon as you finish processing the customs formalities and come out from there and there you can find our representative carrying a signboard of Redrose Travel and the team will greet you and take you to the hotel in private vehicle. Like if you have already booked the hotel by your own then we advise informing the hotel that you are staying so it will be easy for our representative to drop you at the hotel.

Itinerary and Possible Changes on it:

Our usual itinerary of the trek is 25 days which is main customary and pragmatic that has also included your arrival day, departure day or Kathmandu sightseeing day tour are all included in this package itinerary. If you like to adjust the itinerary we can set it for you as per your desire so, before that let us know before booking the trip and then we will arrange the itinerary and the cost. Like if you like to extend more days then we will even manage it for you as in our package we have kept extra day because we don’t know the situation of Himalaya weather it suddenly changes and faces problems like delayed flights or cancellation of flight.

Insurance/Rescue/Evacuation:

Client’s safety is our main priority and makes sure that each and every client is well taken care of.  If by chance anyone got sick during trek we will take you to the hospital and if one is seriously ill then we will rescue a helicopter and then they will take you to the hospital and all the expenses are carried out by the travel insurance company so, make sure to cover the insurance policy. Booking and Payment:

For booking any trip, trek, expedition first you have to deposit 20% in advance if you are confirmed for the trek you have to send even your flight detail schedule, a passport photocopy and if you cancel the booking then this 20% is not -refundable.  The remaining 80% can be paid when you reach Kathmandu and if you want to pay in advance you can deposit it by transferring through a bank, credit card so, lets us know then we will be sending you the detail for payment.
