Dhampus Peak (6012 m), located to the north east of the magnificent Dhaulagiri mountain range is a technically easy peak to climb. Dhampus Peak is also recognized by the name “Thapa Peak”. The inspiring altitude variation between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges makes Dhampus peak a perfect spot to sight the peaks in the surrounding. The route goes all the way starting from the pleasant mountainous villages, forests rich in exotic flora and fauna and much more exciting places mid-way.

The major attraction that mesmerizes you throughout the Dhampus peaks are superb panorama of Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri I (8163m), Nilgiri (6940m), Sita Chuchura (6611m), Tukche Peak (6920m), Thorong Peak (6484m), Tilicho peak (7134m), Yakawa Kan (6482m), Mukut Himal (6639m), Puth Hiunchuli (7246m), Tangu Peak (6197m), Tsarste (6347m) Hongde peak (6556m); and see the sights striking hamlets around Kaligandaki valley. The 3500m ascend from Tukuche, will make you sense success at high region. The trail to Dhampus Peak will follow the west edge, which links Dhampus pass (5200m), where we will set our high camp. This expedition goes beyond the 6000m front line. As no technical skills are obligatory, any experience in trekking on snow is worthwhile.
