Trip Overview

The Kathmandu and Nagarkot tour unfolds the enchanting landscapes of Kathmandu Valley, settled in lush green hills and majestic mountain ranges. Kathmandu serves a perfect fusion of ancient history and contemporary life where centuries-old temples and palaces coexist harmoniously with modern structures. Throughout our journey, we will embark on a cultural and historic exploration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and historic Durbar Squares. 

Our adventure begins with an exploration of local streets and the local market where every corner reveals a tale of its own. We will witness the cultural and religious harmony in the country as we visit the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and to serene Buddhist Stupa of Swayambhunath. After venturing into the beauty of Kathmandu valley, our journey ascends to Nagarkot, where panoramic views of the Himalayas await us. Nagarkot unveils its magic with its sunrises and sunsets over the snow-capped mountain ranges which is breathtaking to watch. 

After exploring, we will witness the richness of Nepal’s cultural mosaic. Here, Buddhist stupas stand in silence alongside the Hindu temple which shows the country’s ethos of unity in diversity. 

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m & 4,600 ft)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our friendly airport representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu where you can rest after the journey. After a short rest, we will embark on a stroll through the market of Thamel, a vibrant tourist hub and Ason Bazaar, a bustling local market with a rich history.

Day 2 : Explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO Sites

After a delicious breakfast in the morning, our expert guide will take you on a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will start our tour with a first stop at Boudhanath Stupa, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site. Then, we will explore Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. Our journey continues to Patan Durbar Square, where you get to explore Newari culture, palaces, courtyards and pagoda temples.

Day 3 : Sightseeing Tour and Drive to Nagarkot

We will start the day similar to yesterday with breakfast, we will set out to explore more of Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks starting with Swayambhunath Stupa also known as the Monkey Temple. Swayambhunath signifies the unity of religions in Nepal as you get to witness Hindu temples alongside the Swayambhunath stupa. Swayambhunath also offers panoramic views of the valley. Later in the day, we will drive to Nagarkot to witness a breathtaking sunset over the majestic mountains.

Day 4 : Sunrise views and Changunarayan Temple visit

Today we will wake up early to witness the enchanting sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot. After breakfast, we’ll visit Changu Narayan Temple, one of the oldest in the capital dedicated to Lord Vishnu followed by a visit to traditional Newari villages of Khokana and Bungmati. In the evening, we will enjoy a delightful farewell dinner at a fine restaurant and mark the end of our tour.

Day 5 : Departure

As Our memorable journey comes to an end, our team will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport according to your scheduled departure flight. You will bid farewell to Nepal with cherished memories, hoping to welcome to back soon with Trekking packages.
