  • Summit Achievement: Standing on the summit of Island Peak is a remarkable achievement and a memorable moment for climbers. It offers a sense of accomplishment and rewards the efforts of the ascent.

  • Adventure in the Everest Region: Island Peak Climbing is an excellent way to combine a trek to Everest Base Camp or other popular destinations in the region. It allows climbers to experience both the cultural and natural wonders of the Khumbu Valley.

  • Shorter Duration: Compared to some other high-altitude expeditions, Island Peak can often be completed in a shorter timeframe, making it accessible to those with limited time.

  • Personal Growth: Climbing Island Peak is not just a physical challenge but also a journey of personal growth, pushing climbers out of their comfort zones and testing their mental and physical limits.

Overall, an Island Peak Climbing expedition is a thrilling adventure that combines technical challenges, cultural immersion, and the opportunity to witness some of the world's most iconic mountain scenery. It's a bucket-list adventure for many mountaineers and trekkers alike.

Imja Tse Trekking Peak (6160m) is one of the most popular and probably the most stimulating trekking peaks in Nepal and is also known as Island peak to the whole world. Imja Tse will captivate you with its fantabulous paranoiac beauty and most appreciably, you will get a standardized viewpoint to watch the roof of the world: Mt. Everest.

Two of the adventurous passes namely Kongma La pass and Chola pass are to be crossed. In 1953, Eric Shipton, a British Mountaineer and his group named the peak as Island peak because the peak seemed as an island when seen from Dingboche. Later on in 1983 the peak was renamed as Imja Tse.

For getting into island peak, at first you walk up to the Dudh Koshi valley from Lukla, following through Namche and then Tengboche to Kalapatthar and the Everest Base Camp.
