Actually Lobuche Peak includes two different summits: East (6119 m) and West (6145 m). These two summits are connected by a continuous edge and there is a significant distance between the two summits of peak Lobuche. The east Lobuche summit is a trekking peak where as the west peak is often categorized under an expedition peak. This peak was first officially ascended in 1984 by Laurence Nileson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa.

Lobuche East peak, a breathtaking peak provides a range of existing routes as well as some new routes. The depressing triangle of its rocky east part sets down to the moraines of Khumbu Glaciers to a pleasing skyline, making the south face. Lobuche East is ascended by moving downward a noticeable nick and walking up sharply from snowy slopes to the Summit. Most of the times, the peak is ascended on the peak ridge only as far as a secondary high point, south-east of the right peak. The peak is also referred to as the false peak.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting upon arrival at Kathmandu International airport by our representative, transfer to hotel.

Altitude: 1350m/4428ft

Soon after we land at Kathmandu International Airport, we meet our Nepali representatives who will clarify us about the tour. After the short description by our representatives, we are sent to our Hotels where we will be staying overnight.

Day 2 - Stay in Kathmandu for the official procedure and sightseeing, overnight at hotel.

Today you travel around Kathmandu valley which comprises visit around historical and saintly attractions; including Durbar Square, Boudhanath; one of the major stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath; top on the hill in the city knows as the Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath; Hindus holy place. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3 - Fly to Lukla (2,834 m.) and start trek to Phakding, overnight at guesthouse.

We take a charming flight from Kathmandu early in the morning to Lukla (2827m.), we fly for 40 minutes. Arriving at Lukla, in the afternoon, we start our stroll by moving down to the Dudh Koshi River and take the key track to Namche Bazaar, located just over Chaunrikharka (2713m.). The path is trouble-free and after coming across the tiny village of Ghat(2550m.) we make a small hike to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Day 4 - Trek to Namche Bazaar, overnight at guesthouse.

Today we trek for 4 hours from Phakding, we move ahead with a slight climb to Jorsale we get ahead of a waterfall. Now, the path villages are fused with amazing forest of rhododendron, vast firs and magnolia trees. Subsequently, we hike to Namche coming across few bridges and then go up quite a few hundred meters, a vertical dive and another steeper climb through the forest. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 5 - Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar, overnight at guesthouse.

We have a rest day today to become familiar at a elevated height in Namche Bazar. Namche is a accepted village positioned in a great sheltered hollow. On top of the village, there lies the national park headquarters where one can take the chance to view both the gripping sunrise and sunset views. The amazing panorama includes excellent scenery of the Khumbu peaks and impressive views of Everest. Day 6 - Trek to Tengboche, overnight at guesthouse.

Today, we move downward through the area from Khumjung and halt for coffee and cake at the local bakery. We do this before we move toward the major track to Everest at Shanasa. Along our way, we can gaze upon the Danphe Pheasant and Himalayan Thar. After that, we keep continuing our track to Trashinga and then go down to cross the Dudh Kosi at Phunkitenga (3250m.) where will be stopping by for our lunch. In the daylight, we make a broad climb through fir, black juniper, pine and Rhododendron forest towards Thyangboche Monastery. Not only the usual scenario but we can also get a glance of different other peaks and many more. We will be staying overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 7 - Trek to Dingboche, overnight at guesthouse.

Today, we visit the monastery ahead of moving down through forest of birch, juniper, fir and rhododendron till we reach Debuche. Then we have only steady climbs, but because of the elevation we require to increase our swiftness gradually. After going across the Imja Khola, the path moves further to the village of Pangboche. Here we can see the striking peak of Ama Dablam. In the afternoon, our path climbs through open alpine hills before crossing the Imja Khola again and reach to our guest house in the settlement of Dingboche.

Day 8 - Rest in Dingboche for acclimatization, overnight at guesthouse.

We have a day rest for getting familiar with the environment at the high elevation. Dingboche is located in a mishmash of tiny ground surrounded by stone walls protecting crops of potatoes and barley. Also, we can go around to observe the natural beauty in Dingboche. Overnight at guest house.

Day 9 - Trek to Lobuche, overnight at guesthouse.

Keep on trekking along the moraine of the glacier with the views of Kala Patthar (5,545m.) and Mt. Pumori (7,165m.) we hike today high above the Pheriche village. Pretty normal day today takes about 4 hours walking to reach Lobuche. Rest of the day we may take simple hike around.

Day 10 - Trek to Lobuche Base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

On this day, we will trek back to Tengboche where we can again see fir, pine, rhododendron, black juniper forest and then reach Tengboche Monastery. Also, we can observe giant peaks Ama Dablam, Kantega and obviously the giant Mount Everest. And then move to Khumjung Village where we will stay overnight.

Day 11 - Stay in Lobuche Base Camp for climbing preparation, overnight at tented camp.

Today, we stay at Lobuche Base Camp for properly acclimatize with the environment. Also, we make preparations for the next day climb to Lobuche high Camp. Overnight at tented camp at Lobuche Base Camp.

Day 12 - Ascent to Lobuche High Camp, overnight at tented camp

Today, after breakfast we move from Lobuche Base Camp to reach at the Lobuche High Camp which takes around 4 hours. The High camp is situated at 5,600m. From the base camp, we trek on a rocky moraine trail to arrive at the high camp. After we reach at the high camp, we install our camp. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 13 - Summit Lobuche East and back to base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Today is our cherished day for the summit. We start early in the morning for the summit endeavor. Lobuche east offers more panoramic views of the mountains those other popular peaks such as Island Peak. Once upon the Lobuche summit, you would enjoy magnificently panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and many more. We spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures, then we get back to the Base Camp again.

Day 14 - Extra day to summit in case of bad weather, overnight at tented camp.

We has set aside a day at the base camp just not to mess up our schedule because of bad day weather. Overnight again at tented camp.

Day 15 - Trek to Tengboche, overnight at guesthouse.

Our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters

Day 16 - Trek to Namche Bazaar, overnight at guesthouse.

The path will go down relatively steeply as we walk back down to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at guest house in Namche Bazaar.

Day 17 - Trek to Lukla, overnight at guesthouse

After having our breakfast, go back over the major road down to Dhudh Koshi retracing to Phakding. Following the track, we arrive at Lukla scaling different Sherpa villages crossing a suspension bridge above Thado Koshi. For about 45 minutes, we go up to accomplish the whole trail and we reconfirm flight ticket and see off to local porters.

Day 18 - Fly back to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

After travelling for 35 minutes, we fly Back to Kathmandu from Lukla in the morning and move back to the hotel. Rest of the day we can lighten up.

Day 19 - Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

Today is our rest day in Kathmandu. It is up to us finalize; either we stay at the hotel and loosen up or go out by yourself and do shopping or similar.

Day 20 - Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel.

Today is our rest day in Kathmandu. It is up to us finalize; either we stay at the hotel and loosen up or go out by yourself and do shopping or similar.

Day 21 - Transfer to airport, departure onward destination.

After all the procedures at the airport, we will be departed to our respective destination.

Essential Info

Hotel and Lodge:

Redrose Travel arranges the best comfy and pleasant accommodation and provides you the well-nourished hygienic foods. Throughout your stay in Kathmandu i.e. 3 nights you will be staying at the best standard hotel which will be rating at 2- 3-star hotel. Although if you want to stay at 4- 5-star hotel in the well sumptuous hotel and are able to pay for this expenses then you have this kind of choices but for the luxurious hotel the payment should be deposited by the clients itself. As the Redrose Travel company can only afford the hotel which is the rate at 2-3 star hotels. However once you are set for your trek there will be no such facilities like in the city of Kathmandu and one should not expect like Kathmandu as we are trekking to the remote area so, we will be staying at tea houses and local lodges. In such hotel there will be a usual bed and of course pillow. Most of the lodges of this region depend on lanterns or candle only a few has the facility of electric lights nonetheless you will be getting clean hygienic food which is most important. Most of the lodges will be already booked earlier before your trek however in some situation we will be not able to book in advance but not to worry we can book -in while reaching there because there are ample of lodges and some tea houses in this region and if not we can easily set a camp which will the most adventurous part of the trek itself is interesting and adventurous. We have to stay a night in the camp or tent as we build when we are in such are and we are in camping or tented house

Meals and Drinks:

We the company totally focuses on client’s meals by making sure that each and every client get the same portion which is clean hygienic and nourished which is most necessary while trekking. While trekking all the meals i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided but in the Kathmandu city sometimes breakfast and sometimes dinner are included where you can go through the each detail itinerary below. During trek breakfast and dinner will be served in the lodges or teahouses and for the lunch our expert trek leader or guide will be taking you the best clean hotels. However we suggest you carry a water purification tablets to purify the water as on the way you will get normal water but if you want bottled mineral water you will easily get in some shops or tea houses but the expense of the bottled water should be paid by the client itself as it is not included in package.

Best Season to Travel:

The flawless seasons for Nepal visit will be in the spring season in the month of March to May and autumn season on September and November. Even in winter one can travel but only if you can bear the cold weather season. We strongly recommended the clients not to trek on the monsoon season on the month of June, July and August because during this period it rains heavenly and in day afternoon the sun rays will be extremely blazing heat so, it will be difficult to trek. So, we suggest every client trek in the specific seasons.

Luggage/Backpack:

Throughout your trekking your luggage will be carried by our porters and you have to carry your own small baggage containing your own water bottle, towel, tissue or toilet paper, camera or any other stuff which you usually carry and this small baggage should be carried by yourself. Some of the gears and clothes which are not needed during your trek can be left in the hotel safe deposit box carefully locking it properly and for the deposit there will be no charges so, you can freely keep your belongings which are not needed. The Nepal domestic airlines do not exceed more than 15 kg which also includes your hand baggage. If your baggage exceeds more than 15 kg then some charge should be deposit which is not included in the package.  

Guide/Porter on Trek:

We the companyRedrose Travel will be providing you the well expert trained trekking guide who will be handling all your trip issue. Also we will be providing you a cordial and sincere porter who will be carrying your 10 kg luggage of each client. Like if you are trekking in a huge group like more than 10 people than we will be providing you an extra guide which will be divided into two groups or more than three according to the number of people in the group. 

Group Size, Guide and Crew Member:

Redrose Travel arranges trek with the minimum solitary client to maximum 16 clients in a group. In the larger group we will be arranged by dividing the groups. However one can stay in the same lodge but during your trek you will be having a different guide. We the Ganesh Himal Hiking team offers one guide for maximum 10 people in the group and if the number exceeds more than 10 till 16 then we will be providing you 2 guides. 

Personal Expenses on Trek:

Your personal expenses should be deposited by yourself like if you addicted to alcohol and all the alcohol you consume during your trip should be paid by yourself that goes to snacks or any other additional meals. Though the cost of accommodation and meals are included in package but such additional meals and drinks- alcohol and non-alcohol beverage, snacks, tips for guide and porters, hot shower- accessible only in some hotel, entrance fee around $ 25 for visiting heritage sites of Kathmandu, meals while you are in Kathmandu and the normal meals will cost around $ 5-7. It is up to you whether you like to give tips to the guide and porter, if you are satisfied with their services then you can tip them.

Gears Available in Kathmandu:

For the trekking equipment you can easily get it at Nepal country stores at the reasonable price and if you like you can also rent the trekking equipment. You don’t have to carry or buy from your hometown because all the trekking gear can be easily available in this country –Nepal.  

A Typical Day on Trek:

On a customary day you are necessary to trek for 4-6 hours each day. After breakfast we will start to walk and then we will be stopping for a lunch and after lunch we will walk for 3-4 hours to reach our destination. After lunch we will be trekking only for few hours and we will reach our trekking destination in 1—2 hours. Like in some days you will reach your destination in afternoon hours and then you can have lunch and then relax, or take shower, read a novel or wander around the area and even you can play cards with the group, guide and all.

Our Greetings at Airport:

We suggest you that when you are confirmed for this trip we advise you to give us your international flight schedule so, we the team can easily get to you and pick you up from the airport on time. As soon as you finish processing the customs formalities and come out from there and there you can find our representative carrying a signboard of Redrose Travel and the team will greet you and take you to the hotel in private vehicle. Like if you have already booked the hotel by your own then we advise informing the hotel that you are staying so it will be easy for our representative to drop you at the hotel.

Itinerary and Possible Changes on it:

Our usual itinerary of the trek is 18 days which is main customary and pragmatic. In this 18 days itinerary it has also included your arrival day, departure day or Kathmandu sightseeing day tour are all included in this package itinerary. If you like to adjust the itinerary we can set it for you as per your desire so, before that let us know before booking the trip and then we will arrange the itinerary and the cost. Like if you like to extend more days then we will even manage it for you as in our package we have kept extra day because we don’t know the situation of Himalaya weather it suddenly changes and faces problems like delayed flights or cancellation of flight.

Insurance/Rescue/Evacuation:

Client’s safety is our main priority and makes sure that each and every client is well taken care of.  If by chance anyone got sick during trek we will take you to the hospital and if one is seriously ill then we will rescue a helicopter and then they will take you to the hospital and all the expenses are carried out by the travel insurance company so, make sure to cover the insurance policy. Booking and Payment:

For booking any trip, trek, expedition first you have to deposit 20% in advance if you are confirmed for the trek you have to send even your flight detail schedule, a passport photocopy and if you cancel the booking then this 20% is not -refundable.  The remaining 80% can be paid when you reach Kathmandu and if you want to pay in advance you can deposit it by transferring through a bank, credit card so, lets us know then we will be sending you the detail for payment.
